The Castle tower

The castle complex’s high keep is 27 m tall and has been open to the public since the 20th century. The wall of the entrance area has a thickness of 2.50 m.

Inside the tower is equipped with numerous illustrations.

They show how the armor had developed.

But also how the castles were once attacked and defended.

The former fireplace room of the lords of the castle was set up halfway up.

To this Place they withdrew in case of danger.

Above this, an exhibition shows that the tower also served as a water tank in the 20th century.

Information boards on the platform use arrows and legends to show where which town is and the distance to it.

Panoramic photos and legends inform the visitor about buildings in the city area.

Furthermore, the visitor can also use a coin-free telescope to look into the distance and explore the surrounding.
